This week, Roblox introduced a new monthly subscription called Roblox Plus. Roblox Plus is the successor to Roblox Premium, which replaced Builders Club in 2019.
Roblox Plus is available right now starting at US$4.99/month. If you were previously subscribed to Premium, you are eligible to claim a 1-month free trial of Plus. Benefits include up to 20% off on in-game and avatar items, free private servers, Robux transfers, access to avatar item trading, publishing and selling, and a monthly Robux stipend (coming May).
Subscription Benefits
Here are all of the benefits you get with Plus:
🏷️ Discounts
10% off in-game items, passes, and avatar items (includes Limiteds bought from the original creator).
Increases to 20% after 2 full months of being subscribed.
Discounts do not apply to items over 1 million Robux, items that are resold, ads credit, publishing fees, or Group fees (i.e. name or roles).
💵 Robux Transfers
Send Robux to any user, even if they aren't subscribed to Plus, for free with no fees
Limited to 1,000 Robux per month (may change later).
Receiver must accept the transfer before you lose Robux.
Must have parent approval if under 18 years old.
Note: Robux received through the transfer Robux feature are not eligible for DevEx.
🔒 Private Servers
Create an unlimited amount of private servers in any Roblox game.
For game creators, scroll to the Creators section of this Blog post for more details on how this will impact revenue.
🔄️ Trading and Selling
Trade and resell limited avatar items.
Publish and sell avatar items on the Avatar Marketplace.
For avatar creators, an existing Premium subscription still allows access to these Marketplace privileges.
And of course, you'll get a badge to display next to your name on your profile and in games! More perks and benefits will be added at a later date, including an add-on to get monthly Robux allowances of 500, 1000 or 2000 Robux each month starting in May.
What's happening to Premium?
Roblox Premium is not completely going away! If you want to stay subscribed to Roblox Premium, you can pay for both subscriptions. However, it is important to note that if you cancel your Premium subscription, you won't be able to resubscribe.
Beginning May 30th, the following benefits will be removed from Premium subscribers:
10% bonus on Robux purchases
Premium badge next to name
All other existing benefits will remain available. If you no longer wish to be subscribed to Roblox Premium, you can visit the Subscriptions page in your Settings to cancel.
Creators
Roblox Plus is now required to publish games to users under the age of 16 years old (including users with Roblox Kids and Roblox Select accounts). To make this transition easier, Roblox is covering the cost of Roblox Plus for the next 6 months to eligible creators. To be eligible, at least one game you own must have 100 hours of total playtime over the last 30 days (as of April 13, 2026) and you must not have any major violations of the Community Standards. For group owned games that meet the criteria, the 6 months is granted to the group owner. To check if you are eligible, visit the Creator Hub. If you are eligible, you will receive an email on May 19th with more details on how to claim.
Game creators can also benefit from Roblox Plus! Encouraging players to subscribe to Plus directly within your game(s) can earn you Robux. Here's how it works:
✏️ Sign-Up Bonuses
Creators will be rewarded for every player who becomes a Plus subscriber within their game via the PromptRobloxSubscriptionPurchase API. You’ll earn a bonus of 250 Robux per month for the subscriber’s first three consecutive months—up to 750 Robux per newly acquired Plus subscriber.

🎮 Private Server Playtime
On each successful Plus subscription renewal, Roblox looks back at the previous 30 days to evaluate paid private server usage for that subscriber. Roblox will pay creators when these subscribers spend 60+ cumulative minutes over a 30 day period in a game’s paid private servers (up to 100 Robux per subscriber).
For example, Paid private server A, B and C qualify because a subscriber spent 60 or more cumulative minutes in each paid private server during the month. Paid private servers D and E do not qualify because the user spent fewer than 60 cumulative minutes in those paid private servers over 30 days. The creator(s) would earn a total of 205 Robux.
